This is a head board, foot board, and side rails I bought at a garage sale last year.  I am going to make them into something else... stay tuned for more later.

Geek Alert

This is the type of thing that amuses me. Shoot the moon with the phone and shake the phone to make cool shapes. Geek, I know....

Bad

With a handicapped child, I see people parking in a handicapped spot and think, "They better be handicapped." If they are not, I get irritated. I realized the other day how screwed up that is; getting mad that someone is not physically handicapped...

Makin more stuff

Made something else, work bench from old wood and the laminant counter top from my grama's old counter. Entire thing was recycled from other things taken apart, except for the nails of course.

My wife has started to make aprons and is having a lot of fun with it. I thought I could do that, so I did. Now she wants me to make her one

Cool meds

My son gets IV antibiotics 3 times a day and this is the contraption that delivers the meds. It is basically a ballon with meds in it with a tube that connects to the IV. Hook it up, open the valve, and go! So simple and so cool.

I love this time

There is like a 2 week window that the lilacs are in bloom and that time is now. When I walk out of my house, the sweet smell is in the air.

Green deed

We got some new mulch today that is actually chewed up and painted tires. Looks awesome, reuses old tires and lasts for over 10 years.

Should I?

Got a flat a lunch and tried that inflate in a can stuff. Didn't work and I set it on the hood while I put on the spare. Now I am driving home and there it sits. Part of me wants to grab it off the hood, but I think I will leave it and see if it makes it home.

I cannot stop

My wife brought home some Clementines the other day. They are so unbelievably good, it is a good thing you have to peel each one, I eventually get tired and stop eating them.

I have been flying this around the bathroom as my little one takes a bath, he cannot get enough of it.

Mythbusters afternoon

Success! Fired new Bosch framing nail gun into ballistics gel and compared to the leading competition and ours went deeper. Did it in front of about 30 people from the media.

I was enjoying my sunday morning coffee only to find this. My four year old was very interested in the cup and I didn't know why.

We got this from the Kane County Fare yesterday for our house number. Just a piece of slate with a grinding bit and a steady hand. Perfect.

For those who use Twitter, I signed up on the "advice" of a friend to play around with it. I am still getting my virtual feet wet with Twitter so we will see where I go with it, maybe a combo with this blog. Big surprise my Twitter name is Dadgineer.

Blow out

During a punching session, I tore about a 12" gash in my heavy bag. (Not sure how, I don't think I can punch a hole in a heavy bag) I can however sew!

Spork

I didn't think it was possible, but they improved the spork.  I got this in an instant microwave rice thing; two parts that snap together so they can be more compact.

Invention Fair

This is the project me and my 13 yr old worked on this weekend for his invention fair. Tried to explain to him the concept of center of gravity, but just went with "best balanced".

Just as I get started on the last damage, I get another "project".

High ceiling

Now that I have a room with a high ceiling, I can break out the juggling stuff a will. Next I need to find a way to unicycle in the house.

Call

Had a conference call with Taiwan this evening at 8:30, what you see above is me going to bed after the call.  Work tomorrow...not so much.
